These are real events. There is a small number of articles on explosions from the early 20th-Century; although, this history period is not documented significantly on the world-wide-web. As early as the 16th-Century boiler explosions [last article] were occurring principally in shipping. After reviewing approximately 100-articles dating from 1930 to 1850, boiler explosions seemed a fact of life like today's murder rates.
