Anytime welding is completed on a pressure vessel a NBIC repair form [R1 or R2] for repair work is needed.  Always comply with your State or Providence requirements, but use the more stringent requirements.

Welding can be any work from seal welding, to flush patches, to crack repairs, ...and welding attachments.  Do not allow welding unless the repair firm is an R-Stamp holder and will issue an R-1 or R-2.
