Boiler Vessel Pipe & Tanks Inspection Services
AIS has the boiler knowledge and
boiler experience including project specifications and project management in
steam plants and heating plants. A
boiler expert has a thorough
knowledge of boilers and furnaces
with experience at a level of a
boiler engineer and boiler
inspector. Boilers require
integrity and you should too.
AIS boiler engineering services for boiler work is
safety orientated with mechanical
integrity in mind using a boiler engineer with years of experience.
Boiler Safety Inspection
- Boiler Useful Life Study
'SnapShot' for Integrity
- Boiler Consulting Inspections & Code Compliance
- Boiler Operations and Safety Control Testing
- Combustion and Burners & Stokers
- Water Treatment & Chemical Cleaning - Second Opinion
A boiler safe useful life study extends into the economic operating life. Many times it is just as important to an owner to understand if the boiler is not cost effective to operate even though the boiler has many safe years remaining. A safe boiler may need upgrading to be economically viable, and with many years remaining on the boiler the boiler can operate safely and economically for an additional 20-years (life extension).
A boiler safe useful life study is directly intended to determine how many years remaining on the boiler before replacement. This is based using the boiler physical condition from a perspective of the past to the present. This is done by our metallurgical testing laboratory, nondestructive testing NDT videoscope, inspections, infrared equipment and boiler engineering under the direct supervision of a professional engineer.
The purpose of a useful life study is to evaluate the integrity of the boiler for safe operating pressure and boiler interlock controls. Boiler integrity is more than safe boiler operating pressure, and in fact it includes safe furnace operation and boiler casing integrity to prevent harmful gases from entering the boiler room. Boiler integrity is the whole boiler including the fuel training and boiler setting.
Pipe Safety Inspection
- ASME B31 Code Compliance
- Pipe Hanger, Support and Anchor Safety Inspections/Evaluations
- RICWIL and Underground Conduit Pipe & Steam Tunnels
- Pipe Condition Assessments - Failure Prediction
AIS pipe stress analysis and piping service can review your
piping project for code compliance.
We can identify the shortcomings of
your large code piping project
before going out to bid and AIS
pipe stress analysis and piping service can perform quality
assurance code work. AIS has
experience in writing quality
control manuals for the owners for
the engineering firm and contractor
to follow.
Pressure Vessels & Tank Safety Inspections
- ASME Section 9 Code Compliance
- API, NFPA & Environmental Code Compliance
- Consulting Inspections
- Jurisdictional Inspections
- Corrosion Inspections
Whether performing an engineering
design of the pressure vessel or
evaluating a failure of a pressure
vessel, understanding all aspects of
a pressure vessel including how it
is used is chief to the outcome.
AIS pressure vessel services can
determine the condition of the
pressure vessel so you can plan your next repair or
outage.
Aboveground
storage tanks (AST) are any tank
that rest on top of the ground and
has water, chemicals or fuel oils.
These tanks are very diverse in
construction materials and the main
materials for AST construction are
from plain carbon steel, to
fiberglass reinforced plastics (FRP),
to high density
polyethylene (HDPE)
and to stainless steels. AIS tank
service has the knowledge and
experience you need from the loading
& transfer station to the tank.
Safety inspections of tanks should
not be second-rate. Thoroughness and
well documented tank inspection is
your first step to full compliance. We believe our success is our
success and safety is in everyone's
interest.
Our SPCC Plan is a carefully thought
out and prepared in accordance with
good engineering practice.
Corrective action plans for
preventing spills. Evaluate
for tank overflow, rupture, or
leakage with a prediction of the
direction, rate of flow, and total
quantity of discharge. Recommend appropriate containment
and/or diversionary structures or
equipment to prevent discharges from
reaching bodies of water.
A typical repair design to a tank is
a replacement repair since tanks by
their very nature, thickness to
physical size, use the membrane
design theory. Therefore,
tanks are reasonably flexible and
are easily deformed. If you
want safe engineering solutions that
benefit your environment call us and
arrange a visit. We want you
to have a good experience.
